Event Details
The event
Celebrating prowess in the seventeenth century missionary
groups conducted across the mountains and jungles to reach
current and founding peoples of Peru's central jungle, "El
Reto de los Misioneros" is a mountain bike competition
in the form of Marathon which aims at promoting tourism to
the area, the promotion of sport, recreation and healthy people
especially the youth.
The first edition of this competition took place in the year
2007 with the participation of different cyclists from all
over Peru, involving media and the public enthusiasm.
For the third year, provides for the participation of elite
cyclists and fans from different countries. Participation
will be broken down into categories: Open male, Open female,
Master A, B and C providing approximately 120 cyclists, without
escorts and press.
Of the Andes to jungle
The event will include in the course of the stages ciclísticas,
art events and entertainment for the residents present at
the targets. It also foresees the participation of business
and information booth of the sponsors on these points.

22 and 23 Agust 2009.
The Stages
Like last year, will be carried out in three stages two days,
but this time the mileage will be higher, increasing the hardness
of the test. Of the Andes to jungle. On 22 there will be two
stages, each an average of 60 km. The day will take place
23 stage queen, "The passage of the 3 mountains,"
with an average of 80 km, including a large part of mountainous
topography.
Coming soon will be given all the information about the trail,
schedules and assistance points. In any case, it should respect
the timeliness of these stages.
Upon completion of the third phase, will be the party's Award
organized by our sponsors.
The congresillo technician will take place on August 21 at
night in San Ramón Chanchamayo.
To facilitate the registration of the first day, will be made
available on this site in the form of pre-registration.
The Weather
The Challenge will take place Chanchamayo in the summer (dry
season) with average temperatures ranging between 20 °
and 30 ° C.
